Multiple Sclerosis

Background: MS is a demyelinating disease in which the insulating covers of nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord are damaged. It is more common in eld population in western countries.

Model: Immunogenic peptide induced experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis (EAE) 

Standard study duration: 8 weeks.

Clinical endpoint: Brain MRI, CT, neurologic deficit scoring, histopathology…

Features: Human-like brain structure, similar neurologic deficit symptoms to human MS, brain lesion analysis, complications…
