Acute Myocardial Infarction/Heart Failure
Background: Myocardial infarction is common, in which the ischemia
causes a pathological state of heart not working properly by the reduction of
cardiac blood perfusion, leading to decreased heart's oxygen supply and
abnormal myocardial energy metabolism.
Model: Left Anterior Descending (LAD) ischemia
induced AMI
Standard study duration: 4 weeks, developed to heart failure
in 6 months
Clinical endpoint: electrocardiography (ECG), AST/ALT,
CK/CK-MB, CtnI, Myoglobin, LDH…
Features: Ischemia-reperfusion, permanent/transient ischemia, human
similar coronary artery structure, AMI characteristic clinical ECG: QRS (Q
wave) abnormality, ST segment elevation, T wave inversion, post-ischemic effects
and complications (chronic heart diseases, cardio-renal syndrome, heart failure
etc.)…
